A little bit BRCA, a little bit “momming” and hopefully a little bit funny.

I am a 41 year old mom of two little boys. I also have a husband. I am outnumbered. I am surrounded by balls. And yet I have some very serious female stuff going on. I have known I was BRCA2 positive since I was 28 years old. (In short, this means I have a VERY high risk of breast and ovarian cancer.) So I decided to do something about it. January 19, 2021 I had my breasts removed preventatively. And May 27, 2022 I said “bye bye bye” to my female baby making parts…ovaries, Fallopian tubes and uterus. By doing this I will SIGNIFICANTLY lower my chances of Breast and Ovarian Cancers. Please reach out if you have any questions and/or are going through the same thing!
